Haranath (హరనాథ్) (September 02, 1936 – November 01, 1989), professionally and popularly known as Harinath, was a "Tollywood" film actor.Born as Budharaju Venkata Appala Harinath Raju, Harinath went on to become a romantic iconand was the top Tollywood hero for a decade in 1960sHe was the hero of the first film shot at Saradhi Studios in Hyderabad that is Ma Inti Mahalakshmi (1959).He has acted in about 117 Telugu films, 12 Tamil films, one Hindi and Kannada movie each. He has played in many films opposite Jamuna Ramanarao as the heroine.He is married and has a son Srinivas Raju and a daughter. His son-in-law is Telugu film producer G.V.G. Raju.
